With knowledge and experience, rossgardens offers a great garden maintenance service. We can look after  your existing outside space for you - mow your lawn, weed, prune shrubs and trees, trim hedges, rake leaves and much more.

If your garden needs regular maintenance we can agree a care plan tailored to your individual needs and schedule regular visits (usually fortnightly or monthly) at a time that suits you. If you want to improve your garden, we can help develop it to its full potential - whether you want more colour and flowers, increased seasonal interest, or to attract and support more wildlife.

If you only want a one off visit or agreed number of visits that's fine as we also offer a garden clearance service.

standard services include:
lawn mowing
Grass lawns often cover large areas of outside spaces and with a quality lawn mower, smart stripes in your lawn will keep it looking well cared for all year round.
No planting job is too big or too small. Whether you want a single plant, tree, seasonal bedding, bulbs, or a whole garden planting up, we can either plant your new plants or make it easier for you by supplying them as well.
Not many people enjoy weeding their garden so let us do it for you. Keeping weeds under control allows your plants to flourish and keeps your garden looking tidy.
How or when to best prune a shrub or tree can be confusing. Let us ensure you get the best out of your plants year after year.
hedge trimming
A well trimmed hedge can really smarten up a garden.
leaf raking
Freshly fallen autumn leaves can look lovely but soon become an eyesore and damage your lawn. Keeping on top of them can feel like a chore, so let us rake them up for you.
lawn treatment
Many people take great pride in their lawns. To keep a lawn at its best year after year it may need care such as ‘weeding and feeding’, aerating, scarifying and re-seeding in areas. We can assess your lawn’s needs and keep it looking great.
Some grassy areas, such as verges, are hard to mow and the best way to keep them looking good is to use a strimmer. We can strim away the long grass and leave you with a smarter garden.
wirework and training
Encouraging climbing plants to grow up and cover vertical surfaces such as fences and walls can soften these boundaries and help to screen them where wanted. We can supply and install the necessary wirework and train your plants where you want them to grow.
pond cleaning
Having a pond or other water feature can not only look and sound great but also provide an ecosystem which dramatically increases the amount and variety of wildlife in your garden. However they can get dirty and stagnant and require cleaning out. We can make sure your pond is kept at its best for both you and the wildlife to enjoy.
waste removal and recycling
It can be surprising how much waste a garden can produce! If you don’t already have your own composting facilities there may be potential to install some. If you don’t have the space or don’t want a composter, we can remove your waste and take it for recycling locally.
garden clearance
Without regular attention gardens can soon become overgrown. If yours is in need of a good clear out then we can do this and remove the unwanted waste for recycling.
clean up
We will always leave your garden looking clean and tidy and will give your property a thorough sweep, and sluice down if necessary after a visit.
additional services include:
power washing
If your patio, drive, path or terrace becomes dirty and stained or covered in algae it can not only look unsightly but also become slippery and dangerous. Let us pressure wash it clean for you. No chemicals are needed and you may be amazed at the results!
Mulching is the spreading of a layer of manure on planting beds. This returns valuable nutrients to the soil, suppresses weeds and retains moisture in the soil. It is advisable to have your garden mulched every year to keep your soil in top condition. We can supply the mulch and spread it too. Don’t worry it doesn’t smell as bad as it sounds!
holiday plant care
We often go away on holiday in the summer when plants are most in need of water and attention, and unless you have an obliging neighbour you may come back to the sad sight of dead or dying plants. We can look after your plants while you are away enjoying yourself.
maintenance and repairs
Most garden structures require some kind of maintenance, be it surface treatment such as applying paint, varnish, or structural repairs. We can provide the necessary materials and improve the look and life expectancy of your structures.
supply plants
To get the most out of your garden it’s important to have the right plants in the right place, and then to care for them properly. Adding the right new plants can extend interest throughout the year and inject life back into a tired garden. Whether it’s seasonal bedding, perennials, shrubs or specimen trees, we can source the plants you want or suggest others, and plant them for you too.
supply bulbs
Bulbs can be a really cost-effective way to add colour and life to your garden throughout the year, and especially at times when little else may be happening. We can source the bulbs you want or suggest others, and plant them for you too. All you have to do is sit back and wait for them to emerge and flower.
supply and spread topsoil
Over time gardens can become depleted in soil and may benefit from a top-up. We can supply and spread top quality ethically-sourced topsoil.
supply and lay turf
If your garden needs a new lawn we can prepare the ground, supply top quality turf and lay it for you.
supply and install irrigation
Many people like the convenience of having an irrigation system to ensure their plants receive the correct amount of water. Using an appropriate irrigation system can also save water compared to other watering systems. We can advise on, supply and install irrigation systems ranging from a few planters to a whole garden.
supply and install planters
Your garden may benefit from new planters such as pots, troughs or hanging baskets. We can suggest designs that best suit your garden style, then supply, install and plant them up.
water features and sculptures
Water features and sculptures can really change the dynamics of a garden or other outside space. We can suggest designs that best suit the feel you want to create, then supply and install them.
fencing and trellis
If your old fencing or trellis is past repairing or looking tired, we can suggest designs that suit your garden style, then supply and install it.
